Sámi National Day is a celebration of Sámi people. The date, February 6th, commemorates the first Sámi congress, which was held in 1917 in Trondheim, Norway. The first time Sami National Day was celebrated was in 1993, making 2023’s celebration the 30th year of Sámi National Day.
